This is a completely distorted reversal of reality. Hungary and Slovakia are members of the European Union – and that is precisely why we expect solidarity from them, respect for European rules, and clear positions against Russian aggression. The European Union is not “turning against its own members.” The European Union stands for international law, for Europe’s security, and for supporting a country that has been brutally attacked. Ukraine is not fighting only for itself today. It is also fighting for our security. Anyone who claims that pressure should be directed at Kyiv instead of Moscow is consciously blurring the responsibility of the aggressor. The argument about a “purely political decision” is a smokescreen. Energy has been used by Russia as a weapon many times before. Stubbornly clinging to Russian oil and gas is not a technical issue – it is a matter of political will to end dependence on a regime that is destabilizing the entire continent. Europe cannot be held hostage by those who confuse sovereignty with the right to block a common response to aggression. And one more thing: speaking about “blackmail” while Ukraine has been facing a full-scale war for the third year is cynical. The real blackmail has come from the Kremlin. I will always stand on the side of a secure, sovereign, and values-based Europe. And today, such a Europe cannot exist without supporting Ukraine.Kopírovat text
