I have a different view than some of my colleagues on what it means if a renowned American economist gets a high position in the European Commission. Europe is in global competition with the whole world. We cannot afford to rely solely on our 'local' know-how. If Mrs Morton is the best candidate, it is good for Europeans if she works for us. And by the way, I hope people understand that a consultant is something different than a lobbyist :-)Kopírovat text
