Today, I participated in a summit in Bucha, Ukraine, where Russia committed a brutal massacre of over 500 civilians three years ago and perpetrated around 2,500 war crimes. Together with the head representatives of parliaments from 17 EU member states and a representative from the European Parliament, we adopted a resolution today that clearly demands accountability for these crimes, the adherence to international law, the end of Russian aggression, and the restoration of Ukraine within its original borders. The main message of the summit? Europe is united. We are aware of the threats facing our world, which is based on democracy and the rule of law. We are determined to build a strong and capable Europe that can defend itself.
