Good morning from Dubai! I met with my team here during our stopover on the way to Lusaka, Zambia. The goal of our mission? The Lobito Corridor, a strategic route connecting Zambia, Angola and the DRC, and its development with the aim to create new opportunities in Zambia: jobs, business, and local value, while strengthening Europe’s economic security. Our programme has three main parts: 🔹 Meetings with the Zambian Government on the corridor’s development, 🔹 A visit to a copper mine key to Europe’s Critical Raw Materials strategy, 🔹 And the EU–Zambia Lobito Business Forum, bringing together public and private partners.
