Through strategic cooperation, we can strengthen both Central America and Europe and create lasting impact for our citizens. That was my message today as I met with Foreign Ministers from across Central America in Brussels. We reaffirmed our shared commitment: delivering real results under the EU–Central America Association Agreement and the Global Gateway Investment Agenda. 🇪🇺 🔹 On energy: We are supporting the creation of a regional electricity market, unlocking renewable potential and cross-border resilience. 🔹 On digital: We are bridging the connectivity gap with concrete projects - from Costa Rica’s CONDOSAT satellite initiative to the BELLA cable extension and the launch of new Copernicus disaster-monitoring centres. 🔹 On environment: We are investing to protect the Great Forests of Mesoamerica, a vital global ecosystem and a source of sustainable livelihoods.
