It is in our 🇪🇺 strategic interest to support international development. Yesterday in @Europarl_EN, we discussed the outcome of the Financing for Development Conference in Seville 🇪🇸. I made it clear: development is not left or right issue. It’s a forward-looking, strategic investment in global stability and in Europe’s own security. To make our efforts more impactful, we need to focus on three priorities: 1️⃣ Mobilise domestic resources - through fair taxation, better spending, and global tax cooperation. 2️⃣ Mobilise private capital - public budgets alone can’t close the €4 trillion SDG gap. 3️⃣ Adjust the international financial system - to make it fairer, more flexible, and crisis-ready. With Global Gateway, we 🇪🇺 have the right tools to turn our partners’ potential into shared prosperity and to ensure Europe remains a reliable, respected global leader.Kopírovat text
