Introducing Global Gateway to private investors is one of the key goals of my US mission this week. Today’s challenges — from climate change to irregular migration — demand a strategic approach to development policy. For decades, Europe 🇪🇺 and the United States 🇺🇸 have been the world’s two largest providers of Official Development Assistance — a vital investment in global stability. But with a €4 trillion annual gap to meet the Sustainable Development Goals, it’s clear that public budgets alone are no longer enough. That’s why, during my meetings in Washington and New York, I will present Global Gateway as Europe’s strategy to create the right conditions for private sector involvement in sustainable, high-impact investments into global sustainable development.Kopírovat text
