First day in Santiago 🇨🇱 Advancing our Win-win cooperation under the Global Gateway Strategy. 🔹 First, I had a meeting with Acting Foreign Minister @gdelafue. Chile and the EU are natural partners, and we discussed how we can reinforce our joint efforts on sustainability, boost resilience, and, through that, create new opportunities for both Chile and Europe. 🔹 I also held productive talks with the leadership of @agendaCAF, including President @sergiodigra. Together we’re scaling up our development efforts in the area of clean energy or critical raw materials - to deliver real impact for Latin America and strengthen efforts to modernize our 🇪🇺 industry. 🔹 In my meeting with Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, Juan Carlos Muñoz, we focused on strengthening transport and digital cooperation with Chile. We discussed electric buses, railways, port infrastructure, digital connectivity, Copernicus, or cybersecurity. 🔹 My day included also a meeting with private sector from both Chile and Europe to discuss a great project Port of San Antonio. It can significantly help us to together become the leaders of the clean transition. European companies are ready to contribute their expertise to the effort to make the port a hub for clean energy and sustainable trade.Kopírovat text
