Sustainable economic development for our partners and new opportunities for our companies - these are the basic principles of our 🇪🇺 Global Gateway Strategy. Yesterday, at the Foreign Affairs Council on Development in 🇵🇱 Warsaw, we met with representatives of EU Member States to discuss how to advance this strategy. Here’s what we covered: 1️⃣ Global Gateway in Action I introduced the Global Gateway Strategy as a key part of our EU External Economic Policy, emphasizing how it fosters mutually beneficial partnerships while creating tangible opportunities for European businesses. 2️⃣ Importance of the Team Europe Approach By combining the strengths of EU institutions, Member States, financial institutions, and the private sector, we can ensure our development policies truly deliver on our goals - sustainable growth for our partners and new prospects for European companies. 3️⃣ Team Nationals for Better Cooperation We discussed how dedicated Team Nationals - such as Team Poland, Team Finland or for example Team Czechia - can collaborate with EU institutions to develop transformative projects and support their companies. 4️⃣ Financing for Development A key topic was what we can do to better attract private investment to complement our substantial Official Development Assistance. This will help ensure our development efforts achieve the impact we seek. 5️⃣ Addressing Fragility We reaffirmed that the Global Gateway Strategy focuses on all aspects of human development, including in fragile contexts. Our cooperation with Mauritania serves as a strong example of how we operate in these complex environments.Kopírovat text
