Skuteční kolaboranti s cizí mocí, a tím i vlastizrádci, jsou tito lidé, i když mnozí z nich vůbec nechápou, co činí. 👎(🇬🇧 yesterday in Brno, English text below 👇) EU vznikla jako dobrovolné společenství svobodných demokratických zemí, do které jsme vstoupili z vlastní vůle, dokonce na základě referenda, a také můžeme vystoupit. Nikdo nás neokupuje a nedrží tu armádu, aby nás mohl ovládat. Dokonce my můžeme spolurozhodovat o zásadních otázkách celé EU na základě práva veta. Je to nepochybně nejsvobodnější soustátí, které tu kdy bylo, kde dokonce i malé národy jako my mohou efektivně prosazovat svoje zájmy. 🇪🇺 Jistě je možné na EU spoustu věcí kritizovat. Typicky byrokracii - je snad ale ta naše lepší? Někdy nám vadí, že některé státy prosazují svoje zájmy na úkor ostatních anebo že EU reguluje náš život i tam, kde to není potřeba. Je to proto, že si to druzí dokáží prosadit - mají efektivnější státní správu nebo dobře zorganizované lobistické skupiny. A také schopné politiky, kteří se umí dohodnout a prosadit se, místo aby jen poštěkávali do médií nebo na EU sváděli svoje vlastní problémy. Přitom ale neumí nic prosadit pro svoje voliče. Na druhou stranu naši politici v orgánech Unie rádi hlasují pro nepopulární opatření, které se jim doma nechce obhajovat, a potom se přidávají ke kritice. Útoky na EU delší dobu přichází ze strany mocností, kterým je silná EU trnem v oku, protože jim konkuruje. V první řadě z Ruska, jež má rozložení EU jako svůj strategický cíl. Ale také například od Trumpovy administrativy. A my bychom si měli hlavně uvědomit, že rozpad Unie by v dnešním agresivním světě výrazně zhoršil naši bezpečnost a vrátil nás možná i do období běsů, které si právě v těchto dnech připomínáme. 🕯 🇬🇧 The real collaborators with foreign powers and therefore traitors to their own country are these people, even though many of them probably do not fully understand what they are doing. 👎 The European Union was created as a voluntary community of free democratic countries, which we joined of our own free will, even through a referendum, and which we are also free to leave. No one occupies us or keeps an army here to control us. On the contrary, we actively co-decide on key European matters, including through the right of veto. 🇪🇺 It is arguably the freest international union we have ever been part of, where even small nations like ours can effectively defend and promote their interests. Of course, many aspects of the EU can and should be criticized. Bureaucracy is a typical example - but is our own really any better? Sometimes we dislike that certain countries push through their interests at the expense of others, or that the EU regulates areas of life where it is unnecessary. But that is often because others are simply more effective: they have better organized administrations, stronger lobbying structures, and capable politicians who know how to negotiate and achieve results, instead of merely barking into the media or blaming Brussels for their own failures. Meanwhile, some politicians happily vote for unpopular measures in EU institutions and then criticize them back home because they lack the courage to defend their own decisions. For years, attacks against the EU have come from powers that see a strong Europe as an obstacle. Chief among them is Russia, whose strategic goal is to weaken and divide the Union. But similar rhetoric also comes from parts of the administration of Donald Trump. 🇷🇺🇺🇸 Most importantly, we should realize that the collapse of the EU in today’s increasingly aggressive world would seriously weaken our security and could even return Europe to the dark periods of history that we are commemorating these very days. 🕯️
