The Sustainable Cocoa Initiative - a Team Europe flagship in Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Cameroon - aims to change this. It was therefore an important part of our Global Gateway Forum, bringing together public and private investments to make cocoa production fairer and more sustainable. This initiative helps farmers earn better incomes, supports local cocoa processing, and protects forests through responsible trade and strong environmental standards.
