Great to see delivering concrete progress on digital connectivity in Central Asia, following my mission in spring! Today, the Uzbek satellite agency signed an agreement of intent with leading European satellite company SES. Thanks to EU financial backing, this will enable the deployment of up to 800 satellite terminals across Uzbekistan. Together, we will bring secure, high-speed internet to more communities. This is Global Gateway in action: enhancing sovereignty and resilience, while boosting digital inclusion and creating new opportunities for people and companies in both Central Asia and Europe.
